That u can find in the chapters.
What war was that and was that canon? Cus that story & characters was a hell lot more interesting than SF's. Which is kinda sad.

The great war 1914-1919. the ISA/VSA is the allied powers and the Helghast portray the Germans. I don't thinks it's canon. And I agree it is a lot better than SF storyline.
From what little I could grasp, it seemed like an ISA-vs-Helghast themed World War 1 story. Of course, I still have no idea what the fuck any of it was about.
...and if you really think it's more interesting that SF's story, you really have problems paying attention to things.
"the comic book in the game" has a wayyyy more interesting plot then the retarded story in the game, the whole fucking premise of shadow fall is dumber then a Florida high school drop out. the isa surrenders but some insubordination assholes who were supposed to surrender to the helghast don't discover some bat shit crazy old man has some nutter as fuck plan to eradicate the shit out of the earth so fight there way into a space station steal some fighter jets and destroy the nutter's flag ship but end up blowing helghan to kingdom ton so the isa have to cede half there fucking planet to the helghast! Why!? Do the UCN make them do it? I haven't ever seen the UCN even mentioned in sf correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see any mention of the UCN in shadow fall. IMHO gg wrote the UCN out of the story cause they forgot about them if they didn't they would have mentioned the UCN making the isa do it in the intro! Or maybe it was done on purpose because they didn't feel like explaining how the UCN were the dicks who set up the 2nd E.S.W by there by being such douch bags to the helghast after the first E.S.W but that's a story for another time ( if you're interested in that story read the timeline) the point is that comic book you collect in shadow fall is more interesting than the main story in sf read it on YouTube some guy put it there.
I agree the comic is more interesting. I think (based on my own observations, nothing in-game) that the UCN forced the ISA to do it because the UCN benefits greatly from keeping the Vektans and Helghast fighting. It justifies them keeping a huge military and the taxing of other colonies so heavily, and from them selling outdated UCN tech to the Vektans to "help" them fight the helghast. But that stories for a whole 'nother day.
