The Air Troopers are a new corps of Helghast who were created under the orders of General Metrac after demonstrations showed the effectiveness of the SL-06 personal jet propulsion prototype.
After the successful field tests of the technology, the Helghan Empire deployed units of Air Troopers on Vekta where they made use of the jetpacks to scale crumbling buildings and the gaping chasms of Southern Vekta.
