Killzone: Intercept is a 2012 independent fan film inspired by the Killzone series by Infectious Designer, the alias of filmmaker Brian Curtin.

Plot[]

The short film takes place during the early events of Killzone 3. A small ISA squad is ordered to prevent a large contingent of Helghast troops from intercepting the retreating ISA convoy from reaching the extraction point. Outnumbered, the squad takes on the task with hopes of getting everyone off Helghan alive.

Production[]

Curtin and his crew communicated their film plans to the developers from Guerrilla Games, who were supportive of the project and gave them permission to use the soundtracks, sound effects, and a few 3D elements from the Killzone games.[1] The film took over two years to complete; beginning with pre-production involving costume designs, filming locations, and script writing in the first year. In the second year, eight days of shooting and editing and post-production.[1]

The 3D animation and special effects were crafted by Goran Zovkic and Michael Eves, with Daniel Enrique De Leon taking care of the visual art. The Capture Trooper suit was designed by Anthony Kitchens and the make-up by Kathryn Petras.[2]
